Idiots at Microsoft

Well, By Now you definitely know, Tom Edwards! if you don't click here

In an older post I wrote about Microsoft and Kurdistan issue. That article did not say much about the details, but now here is the detail:

"For example when employees were arrested in Turkey because Kurdistan had been shown as a separate entity on maps of the country, a decision was taken to remove Kurdistan from all maps. "

"Of course we offended Kurds by doing this but we had offended the Turks more and they were a much more important market for our products. It was a hard commercial decision, not political."

I wonder what has been their original reference that has shown Kurdistan as a separate entity! Perhaps Microsoft has some classified documents which proves some forgotten facts! Or maybe they are using an old version of the database and you may once see the Achaemenid empire, in the map!!

Well, in fact most (all) of the examples that have been given are not much geographical! They are rather geopolitical. But it does not alter the fact that those idiots don't even know where is the pacific ocean, let it be the Kashmir or Kurdistan!!!

Sleep safe, Montreal is in Peace!

Well, Is Montreal really safe?!!

You may remember, one of my previous posts on March 2004, when Montreal police found a suspicious package in Concordia University, which was in fact an empty mortar shell, that was left in front of the main building, and the security had been suspicious about it. it resulted in immediate evaquation of the building and barring all the streets around.

Last night, another incident resulted in evaquation of the building where our office is located in, and closing of many down town streets. Police had found a mini-van containing 17 firearms, including submachine-guns, handguns and rifles. They also found between 90 and 135 kilograms of explosives!

the mini-van was parked right in front of Concordia CB building. The building is located just two blocks down the universities main building. In the first floor there is a Japanese restaurant, an arabic bistro, and a Van Houte Cafe, which the chinese owner also runs a big internet cafe, and many young people use it as a network game arena! Nearly half of the building is concordia university, there are also some other businesses in some floors.

There is one bad thing to be noticed, the items found are way more than to be linked to small groups. and both this incident and the one back in March had happened in front of a concordia building, that is located near arabic communities of Montreal, and where has experieneced frictions about the middle east peace process in the past. although I'm not concluding anything!!!

There are two good points to be noticed, first of all as police announced, there was no immediate danger, because the explosives where not connected to detonators. Second is that Police has in fact seized it!

taking all this into account, I think Montreal is indeed not an unsafe city! Hope so! :) The only unfortunate thing about this incident is that we were all trying to focus on our research! but it turned out that the cloud, the wind, the moon, the sun, and the whole univeres were busy not to let us uncover another page of sience! :) and ultimately we ended up in an arabic restaurant playing cards, and ordering shishas! :))

Microsoft & Kurdistan!

Do you happen to know Tom Edwards?!!

well, not that one! Mr. Edwards is the head of geopolitical strategy team at Microsoft! you heard it right! "geopolitical strategy"!

he is revealing some problems that the software giant has faced, due to those stupid mistakes that are related to geopolitical aspects of the products and not the other stupid aspects of them at the International Geographical Union congress in Glasgow.

I don't yet know how, but the article reads: "Microsoft has also seen its unfortunate style of diplomacy have an effect Kurdistan". I really am looking to find what has been the problem in Kurdistan! can anyone help? :)

Well, this article is worth reading! :)

I specially loved this: "Some of our employees, however bright they may be, have only a hazy idea about the rest of the world" :)) he means outside their cubical in MS of course, where they define as world!

Deserves or not

In case that you have not already seen these movies, don't waste your time and money on, "Alien vs Predator" and "The day after tomorrow". the first one is defenitely not "Action/Adventure, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Suspense/Horror and Thriller" but "idiotic comedy"!

There were many scenes when the whole theatre exploded in a laughter, the creatures are no more horrifying, and the subject is just like an slot that has been plugged in so many times that is getting loose!

The day after tomorrow, has some intersting special effects, but that's it! the story is revealed from the first ten minutes of the 2 hour movie!

On the other hand "Maria full of grace" is a movie that desreves all those prizes.

Zoo

Either, paitients of a hospital have fleed, or Tehran's zoo has broken that such animals are roaring in Tehran!

I was recently talking with a friend who was just happy that, there has never been any Iranian involved in any terorist act against any non-Iranian. yet it looks like the stupidity is contagous! I really wish someone would grab these wild crazies, and do something to them before they go further!

Neishabur Case

The Third Session of the court hearing the case of Neishabur Explosion was held behind closed doors, 11 sent to jail.

guilty or not, one could ask what is the framework in which Iranian Railroads is operating. even if nobody ever again makes any stupid mistake, such as the one that lead to this catastrphe, will the railroads system that is currently in very bad shape get better?!

what a concern! does anybody care what court is hearing the case, and if the judiciary knows anything about justice!

Alas, The house is corrupt from the structure!
